Add Official media Official media main, contrib и non-free consists software, maintained by Mandriva and community. Backport and Non-free medias are also added but disabled by default. Run drakrpm-edit-media --expert for enable it.
Non-official community media
Add Restricted Consists many software patents releated software. (older name is PLF). Recommended!
Add Edumandriva Media with package from Edumandriva and Mandriva LXDE projects. Recommended!
Add Edumandriva Kernel Media with kernel package from Edumandriva! Be sure to add for LXDE and Gnome version!
Add MIB Media from Mandriva International Backports community with new and backported software.
WARNING! Edumandriva, Restricted and MIB media consists non-free package.

Cooker
Development version of the next release of Mandriva Linux is called Cooker. Purpose Cooker - to improve the distribution of Mandriva Linux through the close interaction between users and developers during debugging, and test the new features added. Cooker - this is not the latest repository versions. Do not attempt to install packages from Cooker into a stable release. They are incompatible with packages of stable releases, because they are going to libraries, which can not be used you stable release. Being incompatible, they can cause serious errors because of problems with the build packages or applications themselves.
